The argan tree (Argania Spinosa) grows wild in the open forest of the hinterland or is cultivated in the plains and on the Moroccan oceanic coast. The argan tree is the forest essence of the great south-west of Morocco. He inhabits most of his arid landscapes with frequent mists and impresses him with a very peculiar physiognomy.
